I love to use art in order to express feeling and emotions that are difficult to convey. I love ambiguity, subtle discomfort, and juxtaposing the mundane with the surreal or horrific. The Midwest strongly affects my work, whether it be through direct setting, or the feelings of mundanity, familiarity, and nostalgia that can come with it. I want my art to connect with others in ways I didn't expect, and to invite an tempting unease.
