Arrin Kartel

Arrin Kartel is a painter and illustrator based out of Burlington, Iowa. She has been creating art for the majority of her life, for over 25 years. She is inspired by plants and nature, warm nostalgic feelings, prints and patterns. She specializes in painting bright, colorful, loosely painted landscapes and painterly, homey still life scenes. She is also an illustrator. Her illustrations are fun, lighthearted and even a little silly. Alongside her current practice as a full time artist, Arrin has also been studying and working as a graphic designer for over 10 years. Arrin has worked with and creates with many artistic mediums including acrylic paint, oil paint, wax pastels, oil pastels, printmaking, ceramics, and digital illustration.

Arrin is based out of Des Moines County.
