Donna Lapsey

I am Donna Lapsey a Quad City artist. I've lived in Davenport for over 40 years. I've been an artist since I can remember, and an art appreciator all my life. I started quite young at portraiture in charcoal. I then expanded into painting of all kinds. Landscapes, houses and architecture, and animals. I guess my biggest undertaking was when I committed to paint over 110 fallen Iowa soldiers. I did this during a very difficult time in my life as my husband of 40 years was battling cancer. I was his caretakerand just 9 months later got diagnosed with a different type of cancer. Through all of this I kept busy with my art and am so thankful I was still able to do so. I find it very therapeutic for my soul and a blessing to still enjoy it.
