Karen Kurka Jensen

My life-long pursuit has been to create my abstract versions of landscapes and nature, and for 25 years I've both studied and used the techniques and materials of the ancient art of sumi-e painting. While my style is more of my own now, I still use the traditional sumi-e materials; bamboo brushes, sumi-e ink and various natural rice papers to create my paintings.
