Lynne Majetic

I was born and raised in the Quad Cities and now reside in Northeast Iowa. I often venture back to the QC area. My career has been in healthcare, and art has been a welcome respite. In addition to nursing I also earned bachelors degree in Biological/Premedical Illustration from Iowa State. That started me on an incredible journey where I have met the most amazing people. I started with illustrating a series of medical books and contributed illustrations for published research studies and web pages. I discovered warm glass art almost by accident, but quickly became addicted to its endless possibilities in utility and beauty. Working with glass is the perfect combination of art and science. It allows for endless creative possibilities and allows me to express my love of the natural world with vibrant colors and textures. It is at once strong and fragile, beautiful and dangerous, much like humanity. I also enjoy expressing myself in watercolor and colored pencils.

Lynne is based out of Delaware County.
