My work was forged by my childhood experiences overseas raised as a Colonial American and my reintroduction to the culture of the United States on the streets and classroom we call Chicago. I arrived from the Panama Canal Zone in 1984 to attend the School of the Art Institute where I completed a BFA and then a MFA at UIC. I remained in Chicago as an artist/activist and educator.
