Laura Larabee

Laura Larabee is an oil painter from Monticello, Iowa. Regional agriculture, people and nature are all depicted in her oil paintings as Larabee paints them using minute detail and clarity. "I like to show how landscapes are worked by humanity only to have it revert back to nature over time. I also portray animals as they coexist with humans and adapt to man-made surroundings." Larabee has shown at exhibits and art fairs in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. She has won awards from The Artist's Magazine, Oil Painters of America and National Oil and Acrylic Painter's Society. Her work has been collected by the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, Lions Eye Bank of Iowa University Hospitals, and Camp Courageous of Iowa.

Laura is based out of Jones County.
