Penny Smith

A little about me… I live in Bettendorf, and we also have a place on the gulf coast of Alabama. So sometimes I get coastal in my paintings! I am married to the man who has been my best friend since I was 16 years old. We have three kiddos, and many furry friends that reside with us! I have always been artistic in one way or another! Photography, mixed media, scrapbooking, and oil pastels, and now for the last couple of years, I paint with acrylics! I use to work with animals as a RVT, mainly emergency and critical care. I was a marine mammal trainer (dolphins, sea lions and sea otters) during that time. I have been a doula, a newborn photographer, and I worked at a scrapbooking/paper craft store for years, where I also taught. During that time I also designed for manufacturers, and was published in magazines. I now work at a “makers” market/store, and sometimes even paint while I am there! I work retail part time at three locations… love to stay busy!
